The South Georgia Sports Network is at it again with their pigskin prognostications for the upcoming play-offs. For what it’s worth, they pick none of the Region 4-AAAAA teams to advance to the second round. Hey, that’s the Region 1 mentality for you!
Here’s their take on the Chapel Hill-Northside, Warner Robins game.
“Well, we’re probably talkin an 8 on the yawn scale. The Panthers get to travel to the Mac to take on The Nasty Northside Bluebellies. The lads outa Douglasville made it into the playoffs by beatin Westlake in OT last week. Chapel Hill runs their version of the veer option and they’ve been somewhat successful this year. But they can throw the ball when it’s necessary. And it was necessary last week. Northside is a methodical team that relys on Mr. Van Brunt and Mr. Oneill in their option attack. Those two fellers get the job done and more. The Eagles throw and run with proficiency and they have an outstandin kicker when the special teams guys line up. He has a great leg and he’s extremely accurate. The Northside defense is solid and they’re well coached. They are seldom out of position. I think the Panthers will have their hands full tryin to move the ball against the Eagles, but games are won on the field of play and not on the printed page. This is the playoffs and anything can happen. But to be honest, if Northside loses this game…there should be some sort of investigation. They are the better team and the better team wins about 96% of the time. Give me those odds anyday. Northside in a walkover. Let’s say by at least 15.”
